Cat Angels Pet Adoptions is a cat and kitten rescue and adoption organization and no-kill shelter in Cary, North Carolina. We are a 501(c)(3) public charity and our mission is to help homeless, abandoned, and/or abused cats and kittens find safe, loving, permanent homes, and reduce populations at kill shelters.
Hours of Operation
Cat Angels is open by appointment only
Approved adoption applicants will be scheduled for a time to meet the cats and kittens at Cat Angels. Please click the Adopt tab for more information on our adoption process and to fill out an adoption application.

The Cat Angels Thrift Store supports the important work we do by providing
gently used items for sale to our customers. All proceeds go to furthering our mission. We have great clothes, books, housewares, and treasures worth coming to see. Inventory changes all the time so we hope you will stop by. Open every day except Sunday.

Often when we rescue cats that have previously lived outdoors, it can be challenging to keep them indoors-only. Consider cat fencing to keep your feline family member safe from the myriad dangers of an indoor-outdoor lifestyle. They have options for whole fencing or additions to existing fences to keep your kitties in safe!
Our Shelter is Currently Full
Unfortunately We Cannot Take in Any Cats at this Time
We are currently full and cannot take in any cats or kittens into our program but we hope to be able to soon. If you are able to keep the cat/kittens safe and would like us to contact you when we are able to bring cats into the program, please complete our Waiting List form and we will be in touch asap.
Please do not contact our adoption or fundraising volunteers to help with cat surrenders as they are not involved in cat intake.
If you need help more immediately, please go to PetFinder and search for shelters in your area (by zip code). Contact each one to see if they have room. Please be aware that county/municipal shelters may be "kill" shelters, so please avoid those, if at all possible.
Try posting on your local NextDoor app, as your neighbors may be able to foster, adopt, or help. Avoid posting on Craigslist, as sometimes folks there do nefarious things with animals.
Operation Catnip and Safe Care are also wonderful resources for assistance getting the cat(s) spayed/neutered.
